I'm on the look out for a waterproof jacket and trousers, i do have quite a lot of experience with gortex stuff, as i useto be an outdoors instructer.

I'm looking for something not too expensive,, as you know in this job it dosn't stay new for very long.

I know Stihi do some new wet weather clothing, has any one got any experience with it.:confused1:

Some advice please gents:thumbup:

Army goretex all the way for me in really heavy rain, STIHL stuff is ok in a shower but not good enough for working all day in a downpour. One of the best jackets I've ever had was an orange Timberland waterproof, it was only £30, brightly coloured, light enough to wear all the time but very waterproof as well - doubt you can get them anymore though.

These waterproofs are very good for the price, lightweight and properly waterproof.

I've toured Scotland on my motorbike in these and stayed dry, fair enough testimonial!?

Apologies for the ugly git modeling them, I was away out of the office that day...

Have recently bought AbbeyPro's own Flexothane waterproof jacket. Very light and comfortable and is tear resistant; I think resistant is definitely the word as I wouldn't fancy its chances against blackthorn etc. £37 + p&p at the mo.

the stein waterproof jacket is great for £60, i always have my swazzi for the crazy downpours all day long, as i like a long jacket to cover me bum, this takes a lot of dampness out the tops of my trousers.
