Had a great day!

About a month ago thieves stripped everything they could off my dads old Citroen HY van.

Doors, bonnet, windscreen, seats, etc.

He was really pissed.

But never underestimate the stupidity of criminals...

Sunday night my older brother phoned, he found a guy 100 miles away selling our parts. On leboncoin like eBay in France.

Just our parts.

Sweet.

The local police were "too busy"???

So we arranged to "buy" the bits off the guy by email.

At his house.

Sweet.

An hour before the meet, the police are on the phone to my brother.

"We are four large angry men and we are going in to get our stuff back".

He explained.

Suddenly the police had a unit they could send along??????

They parked outside the address in full uniform and marked car.

Ten minutes later the guy actually shows up!

Walks past the police to get to his house.

Nicked!!!!

Opens his garage, 90% of our stuff was there.

He then rolls over on his mate who's got the rest!

Result!

Can't condone vigilantism...

The old mans happy.

Just an update,
Brother got a call from the gendarmes, come collect your stuff from the station.
Nearly everything returned, still waiting to find out about his mate and the windscreen.
