did you fill it with water then leave it for a while or fill it and get the cutter out when it was full? i also heard they are difficult to get the valve off? i am looking to build one for the workshop

 

cut the coller off, unscrew the valve, leave for a while whilst the bottle is upside down,,(gas is heavier than air)then fill and cut whilst full of water

we have a couple at work but not been too impressed

Yes bob, but in a small garage they are ok I used to have them in my workshop, calor sent all the tools and lathe rusty and gave me headache

(not in a garage but a barn)i use this.. just keep fuels and oils tucked away:thumbup:

 

in a garage just the small calor gas fire.. easy to use and turns off if you need to go out:thumbup:plus there cheap to run

 

how did you go abouy opening the bottle ? you didt just sove a grinder into it
