Hydraulic stump grinder no more than 29" wide

I may or most likely will be wanting to change my grinder at some point soon.

 

Currently have a vermeer sc252 and at times am struggling with the 34.5" width.

 

What grinders out there are around 29" max?

 

Looked only on the web so far.. seen some carlton 4012 etc that i think are 29"? but they are remote control and i've heard they can be expensive to repair? Also put off by the price of teeth!!! can these get in the same places a 252 can? mines a 3 wheeler so can turn on a 6 pence

 

What other models are there to look at? pred 26 etc

 

Will be buying second hand not new

Have a look at the new bandit. It's 29 inch wide and bound to be better built than the predator. There a lot more competitively priced as well

Have u thought about converting your sc252 to tracked that narrow down and widen ?

Isn't there a tracked 252 on ebay at the moment. The ad says it goes quite narrow.

Due to the weight of the tracks it will be hard to flip it on the side. Seems like a low center of gravity. 

Excellent conversion imho.

I rolled the rayco with the same engine, just replaced the air filter "mushroom"  

Put it on its side more times than I can remember. Just wait for the oil to go back down to the sump, start it up and crack on.
