how do we make a new post?, what are these silly nonfictions things?, I don't need to know who responded to me!

 

can we get "view new-content", (thread, by thread.), rather than "view unread"?.

I feel your pain eggs, I was really struggling yesterday.

 

But last night I updated the operating system on my Mac (long overdue) which has improved my computer generally and I'm slowly getting there now. I reckon in a day or so I'll be happier with the new setup than I was with the last.

 

I hate change, but often its for the best once we adjust.

 

To start a new thread I think you just click on the "Start new topic" tab at the top of each page, I presume you need to be in the right forum for the topic your starting.

Just next to your name it the top right there's a 'create' button, you can start a new topic from there. Replying to a thread is the same as before, just use the buttons under the last post or quote the reply you want.

As said eggs, click on the create button to create any content from any page.  It couldn't be easier compared to the old forum where you had to navigate to the section first.  

On mobile view just click the + button

I'm a man who hates change but I'm slowly getting used to this and there's a lot of little improvements I like.

 

Only thing I miss so far is a quick link to newest posts and the post count by members names so you knew if they were new or a regular. Also a way to delete photos when you upload the wrong one before you post. 

 

If this ends with a smiley and a photo then it all works for me on Android

 

Edit: edit works and putting photos in is a huge improvement.

You can delete photos after you post.  Look at my image.  It's subtle but there is a dustbin in the right hand side.  I will look at making that more obvious 

 

i set set up today's post and there is an unread post button.

i will add post count back to the users names

 

honestly, I really think everything is there,

peipme just need to get used to it. Easy for me to say as I've been playing with the software for months I guess
