Those chancers at photobucket now want $299 to host photos linked to third party sites which means any photos I have on here can't be viewed. What do you folk use to store and link photos to arbtalk?

I'm not sure about linking to this forum but Google Photos is by far the best and easiest way to store, search for and retrieve images and video. And it's free.

Its crazy, the amount of storage they are offering in this new pricing structure is ridiculous. I subscribed to a plus 20gb add free scheme and have not used a fractinon of that quota in ten years, I have absolutely no chance of ever using 500gb. I have until dec 2018 to decide on upgrading or mine will disappear as well, I am sort of hoping they will back track on this and come up with something a bit more realistic by the time I get there.

Same here. I respect the guys above. But a bucket is an antiquated method of moving water. On tap is the superseeded way.

Ive never used photobucket. But harddrives and such are so cheap. Im sure some whizz will have a way to tip the bucket in to a drive.

 

Apple and the like are always greedy and manipulative with such services. It pee'd me off when id used iphoto to album all my photos,then they ditched it with an os upgrade and scrambled the lot to a set up they thought was best.

It pays to be unreliant ive learnt.

I pay 70p a month (I think?) something like that anyway for upto 50gb on iCloud.

You can access them all from your phone and don't notice the charge for it. Suits me

Back in ye olden days forums didn't have picture hosting.

 

I even remember a time before photobucket (and youtube) where about the only option was to pay for your own server!
