Husqvarna 135 16" bar/chain

Hi guys I recently bought a 16" bar & chain from chainsdirect but the chain doesn't fit, chainsdirect dont understand as they have sold loads of 16" bars for this saw. As you can see the 16" Oregon bar is fatter than the 14" Husqvarna, I would have thought they would have taken this in to account when they spec what chain is needed but could this be the issue?

Hers a couple of pics

56 is the number of links for the Husqvarna 16 inch bar. If the Oregon is wider it may need more drive links. If you fit the chain to the bar groove how much is left to go over the clutch?

14" and 3/8LP is about the max for these saws imo. Shortening the new chains to fit the existing 14" bar would be a sensible solution, it doesn't appear to have much wear. Assuming the vendor will take the bar back now it's been dragged across the concrete!

The old chain looks like 91VG (ultra safety chain!), newer ones (91VX?) should outperform the VG too.

I have a spare nearly new 15" Husqvarna bar and chain if any use? :w00t:
Won't be 3/8LP, so the OP would also need a new sprocket. Nice offer though.
