can't you just lift the bed up a few inches and then sit it back down on a couple of blocks of wood, no weight left on the ram then

shouldnt be a problem there at all just remember to let it down when driving. if the hydraulic system is sound it will not fall overnight, my only concern would be safety for children e.g. place your fingers in the gap while i play with the remote

How on earth the driver got so far as joining the main road without having checked his mirrors or "felt" the drive? He must have been having a really bad day which suddenly got a whole lot worse!

I presume it's steel not ali therefore rust is your concern?

 

If you do solve this problem and therefore inhibit the vehicle or tipper back rusting therefore making if last longer are you not risking the jobs of vehicle manufacturers and body fabricators? Therefore you would harm the economy and we would have to hold you responsible for any future economic slowdown. Is that where you want to be?
