How are the veggies coming along?

Potatoes have had a problem this year, cropping, but poorly, never flowered.

 

Peas just being picked today, everything else good as gold. Sweet corn always a treat!
 

Asparagus bed is worn out, might grass over and not bother replacing, can’t wait another 3 years, want to move by then. Should have planned to replace the current one a few years ago.

First year growing veg with a concerted effort. Loving my Rhino greenhouse, and touch wood most things seem to be coming along nicely- but some stuff wasn’t even planted until May so perhaps a bit behind.. just had first courgettes- and cucumbers are just got their first fruits. I find it quite obsessive- it’s the first thing I check on when I come home from work, give the chickens a talking to then go in to say hi to the family!

Do you plant your sweet corn I’m blocks? I done mine in two staggered lines, but since learnt they need to be in blocks to pollinate?
