New Hilux Review

I test drove a few. The only one that would prise me away from my now very ageing Amazon was the amorok. But we tow 3.5 tonne lots and sometimes along way. 2.0 litre engine put me off. The truck was head and shoulders above the rest to drive and pulled like a train. With the new v6 engine it must be even better.

Only 3100kg towing capacity on the V6, which is mad.

slight de rail but did you know that it casts £55.73p to replace the LH reversing light bulb on an Audi A4 at the main dealer . Bonkers .

Not surprising. I did a headlamp bulb change on sister in laws q8. It took me about 2 hours.

Lots to take off. Grill, other bumper related fittings. Slacken off but not remove headlamp unit. (Probably alters aim)

What I thought was stupid. You used to replace bulbs roadside. No wonder so many headlamps and tail lights aren't operational.

Yet These big car makers are all about safety. A simple fella like me could design a different way to fit a bulb.

Take lense of or top to get at it.

Very true its a pain in the..

But agree about the truck in general its the best out there IMO drives lovely the high line models are so refined and the 2.0 will happily sit at 80 all day long, not driven the V6 yet but will certainly be looking at it. UNLESS the much talked about Landrover "Defender replacement pickup" arrives in time...:001_rolleyes::001_rolleyes:

Ha! Get them whole you can. I am sure double cab pickups will be clamped down before too long. Hard to justify VAT reclaim/tax write off on essentially a luxury 4wd.

They are already in Germany the load space must be bigger than the cab if you want it as a tax right off so only cab and a half and full size beds are ok let's hope they don't go down that road hear

I believe France as well. King cab or single cab only.
