Is it  though .  I thought it was the original parents that came back to the nest site . The fleges from the previous year have to find their own nest site although it could be close .

True.

Only truly found out when our old Horse "Dentist"  told me. He was an RSPB member and a smashing chap from Worthing.  May he rest in peace. Lovely chap. 

 

Does make you are doing something right when they come back.

I know they are the original parents when they return to our car port as they buzz me, flying inches from my nose before settling on the old TV aerial where they twitter away while I ask them how was their holiday in the sun and their journey.

I will then start to tell them about my Winter and Covid and restrictions and they usually fly off two seconds later completely bored!
