Hi

has anyone taken a look at the rotary milling heads/wheels you can get for cutting trenches etc that attach to excavators, Not sure of hydraulic flow requirements etc but i do know they take a shocking amount of abuse on rock and ive used them on long reach machines down to 15m water depth so the damp and muddy conditions should not be an issue. only downside may be that the ones ive used did not rotate at a high RPM

Anyway just a though as they are out there and in use.

What I don't agree to is weak build, I like things to be strong and unbreakable. A lot of hp and power, in a small machine .

Keep the machine you have and then get Carlton 7015trx

The more heavy duty it is, the more grief it will get. Therefore a further stronger machine will be needed which will get even more grief....

The only guarantee which can be assured is any machine; it is going to break! Stumpers work really hard. I have a fleet of Vermeer, Bandit, Carlton they unfortunately all break. But are all relatively easy to repair.

My solution to breakages has obviously been to buy more machines, when one fails go to another and complete the job, then repair the broken ones.
