guys, thanks for your good wishes and I appreciate your worries. Not much to update really. I checked it out best I could. I spoke to my bank's fraud department but they weren't able to tell me anything I didn't know already. Anyway, I went for it and paid in a bit over £8k. My first card and pin hasn't arrived so a replacement is coming next Wednesday recorded delivery. Ha ha I know what you're thinking. I'm still quietly confident and I promise to let you know either way. The deadline's passed now to apply but if they do it again and it's legit then I hope it could help out your business too. I ordered a 7.5 tonner to replace our transit. It just needs sign writing then I need to find some money pronto! Keep yous posted.

So let me get this right... they have given you a MasterCard registered to your name with a £21k limit on it?! So if you spend the £21k + £8k your putting in you've just got to pay back the £29k on the credit card? How's that a grant? That's just how credit cards work isn't it? I'm confused [emoji23]

Looking at the website for business grant there is a company number at the bottom.

According to Companies House this is a company called Grant Financial Consultancy Ltd run by Peter Allan Grant. He is the only officer of the company, incorporated in 2014.

The website implies they have 13 years experience.

Looks a bit dodgy to me.

If the application is approved you my have to pay a fee to progress it. Don't is my advice.

This could be what is known as advanced free fraud.
