We have a big dead elm to take down, how would you do it and why?

Experienced climber who enjoys tricky take-downs but never used a crane before.

We have GRCS, 10 inch chippers and loader tractor to take away logs easily..

If money's no object yeah a crane , don't like rigging in general if there is nothing central to isolate a rigging spar that's not near my climbing anchor and away from targets.

If you can afford the crane/mewp fine.

Elm is pretty tough even when dead, no power lines from what I can see.

I would say save your money and climb. Should still be done easily in a day with all that gear.
