Its not life support just a climbing aid so i don't think it needs it anyway.

Its all bereaucratic guff. In other words, they are saying that any accidents where SRT equipment is used will not be covered by the Berufsgenossenschaft (health and work safety executive). So if you have an accident while climbing SRT, oh well, you're on your own.

 

This was always the case here in Germany, but now its banned to supply or sell these bits of equipment.

 

All rather annoying..... it was really taking on over here, i've been climbing on a RW for about 2 years now, and now the office monkeys who are scared of things they have seen on youtube videos from America say its the devils form of climbing....

Hold on if it is ART throwing a spanner in the works why the hell are they launching a new rope guide that can be used for both SRT and DRT? They may have just shot themselves in the foot if these speculations are true.

Isn't that just a blocker so you can use a knot like cambium saver. Its sort aimed like an access thing on the video.
