Keepin fit and healthy is a lifestyle not a diet.

The second you say im dieting, cutting back, watching my weight your onto a loser.

Your a positive guy stefan make small changes in your lifestyle and eating habits, gradually induce a disciplined training regime.

Dont get caught up in weight, small things can affect your weight so dont focus on it.

Try instead to take stock in how you feel and look, the weight will come down with good training and more importantly a healthy nutritional program,if your unsure hire a nutritionlist-worth it in my experience as you cant out train a bad diet.

Good luck stefan 'go get it'

Very well said !

You mentioned u was in the military? I have been a reservists for 10 years and I'm a PTI training phase one recruits on basic training. And far too many of them turn up concerned about weight the BMI scale is partly to blame for this I'm 6'2" 15.5stone and according to the BMI scale I'm over weight and should try to loose weight I can easily run a sub 9min 1.5miler.

The above advice from shtilmadaserver is the best you can take be more concerned about feeling good and feeling healthy weight is just a number !!

I agree with Shihlmad and Silky Stefan, crash diets are a short term fix.

I wouldn't worry too much about weight, you're obviously a big lad anyway. Your target of 81kg might be unrealistic for your build?

That's what I weigh, and I'm only 4'9".
