Open your Internet options and advanced and check if you are being routed through a proxy server. If you are you have been redirected. Unchecked proxy and select automatic.

Got this 3 times now when using Arbtalk and not through another site. Anyone else?

Anyone know how to stop it?

Thanks

I have had this a couple of times over the past week or so...very annoying :sneaky2: would like to find a remedy for it

Been meaning to post this for a while, didn't realise there was a thread already.

Have had this half a dozen times in the past few months - only ever from Arbtalk even with other tabs open. I'm using IE 11.

Regards,

Steve.

Sorry was typing from memory before, open internet options then connections and click LAN, local area settings button and check if you are being routed through a proxy. If you are then change it to automatically detect settings. A friend of mine had this and it was doing weird stuff to his browser whatever he used changing his search page and home page etc.

Thanks but no other problems except with Arbtalk. Just using my phone app now. Works a treat ;)

not dangerous - just costly if you follow the instructions they give ...! its annoying, but you can just close the page without shutting down - but you have to be quick. close the message box, then close the page before the message reappears. yes me too only on arbtalk - usually without me logging in (ie going straight in from a google search), but has happened once while i was logged in.
