I have delivered logs and customer says price of logs has gone up too much and you dont get much do you. I ask why do you burn them, expecting to get answer like ' an open fire is nice' but no the reply was.

' they are half the price of coal when you compare the btu's'

You just cant win ?

The general public is used to arborists treating logs as pocket money on a saturday morning. Which is fine until demand out strips supply.

I dont think I would get a mortgage deal from Barclays on a saturday morning below cost price half the price of during the week.

Thats a good price for whats in the net. The ones on petrol station fourcourts have less in them & are mainly softwoods plus they cost more. They are just pissed cos they have installed a wood burner (at huge cost) thinking the fuel is free & now they are finding out its not.

Tell em to sling their hooks.

Hi,

I mainly sell kindling however i seem to be getting asked for logs more and more.

I have started to sell seasoned hardwood logs by the net and builders bags.

I am selling the nets shown in the image below for £3.00 each and some people are complaining that they are too expensive. I am selling them at this rate when people pop into the uit and pick one net up at a time

Am or too expensive or are people trying it on??:confused1::confused1:

what size are the nets?

hi mate i live in chester le street and am starting the same thing, but im with you i think your price reflects the hard graft that goes in to doing the nets, bulk bags whatever....

i had the same price in my mind so i say we stick to our guns and if people dont like it they can always come and chop logs for an hour with us then see what they think huh?
