Marc, if I can help you find anything Stateside send me a PM and I can check my sources in the mean time.

easy-lift guy

The issues are weights and compatibility with our braking system do you guys use or even fit air brakes?

We recently bought a Stocker 8 mounted on Mack which arrives soon from the states, not my cup of tea though and we will have to go through the process of registering it for use on the roads, more than likely we will remount the spade and fit it to something more UK friendly.

Our regs are really a pain in the ass.

Good point, it does work now they replaced the disintegrated bearings, 5 year old fuel filter, new starter motor and engine protection, runs like a dream for such an abused bit of kit really. It just needs some... erm legal requirements sorting which is my concerns with the up coming contract, it only takes a health and safety audit and we could potential get chucked off site that would be worst case but I do not want to run the risk.

The supplier has photos of the issue I emailed them over a month ago.

We carried out the repair to get us out of trouble as they couldn't get a field fitter out quick enough, so they have been aware that we have bypassed the emergency stop buttons for over a month now.

But hey our machine will be here "soon"

Beginning to think that I need to be more assertive.

Be aware that if the worst happens and you can't stop the machine because you have bypassed the emergency stop buttons then YOU will be in real trouble.

The vulture lawyers would get very fat indeed.

Send me your specs. I can research tomorrow. We have a product for your countries regs as well, it's called Preparation H. I can send over a case if it would help.

Sorry to read about your troubles, Marc!

I've not much to add but would echo earlier replies in the thread. Hire a lawyer who specialises in disputes of this nature and attempt to recover all lost monies plus compensation for the distress caused. Sounds like they're taking advantage of your good nature, I think most others would have burned this bridge a long time ago.

Cheers

Dan

Backup is a very important thing. Im moving brand very soon on chippers to one i know is reliable and gives good service.

A product is nothing without a good dealer you can trust and will provide good backup

If it's who I think it is they are a good dealer, and this whole thread is very surprising.

Good luck with it Marc.

My TW125 is yours if you need it to plug the gaps (Mondays).

Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

You would always be welcome Mr Bolam with your TW125 as long as you don't mind me feeding it with the excavator.

And I never said they were a bad dealer, this is just a deal handled very badly.

Although the MD should take a good long look at his tactics and perhaps learn from those below him.
