Mcnaught and alemight are the big brands

They also make alot of the machinery branded ones such as cat john deere new holland and so on once using one of these brands everything else is junk

The speedy grease guns are ok clean to use but have to store the cartridges and gun top down or they will infuriate you as there is no aplunger to push air bubles out

Ive also been recomended a g coupler for nipples with a lot of space round they lock on

And if you are having problems with grease guns make sure all cartridges are stored top down it will help eliminate air locks

Storing them on there side encourages it

fuchs pistol type one handed pump with screw in cartridges, works well for us and compared to traditional ones more grease goes into the bearing than over oneself !!! :)

carl

I use the Fuchs system, its amazing that the traditional ones are still being used, fanning about compressing springs getting covered in grease... the fuchs screw on cartridges are one of those inventions that really deserve to wipe out the competition. Mine isn't the pistol grip but either way don't buy another one that takes standard cartridges...

Evening Mr Bolam ..We own a heavily modified Tw 125 . Drill a large hole in the plastic cover and hey presto ..... grease your nipples  We are using an old Sealey grease gun with a long stiff neck . Also have a flexi pipe to fit .

When bought my entec ch18 (similar to tw125) it didn't have the black plastic cover on it which makes for easy greasing, also you can stand on the top of the roller box when chipping twisty brush to give the roller more bite

I moved over to these after reading about them on here (probably from you Tom!). What a revelation they are - so so much better than the more traditional system.

Paired with a G coupler greasing is actually enjoyable - that is another great invention! The only issue with it is that some recessed nipples are in too small a hole for the coupler to get into - I have just bought another make of lock on quick coupler from my local Ag dealer (it was on the counter and looked really good so I had no choice...) - I can't remember the make off the top of my head and I haven't actually used it yet but it is only the same size as a normal coupler and has a pull-back locking mechanism so you don't need to hold it on to reluctant nipples...

Lol nice move matey .

We decided to weld a 20kg winch to the top of the rollers .

It has transformed the crushing power of the rollers ...well roller as its a Tw 125 single roller machine .

Mind you after welding up a toothed /Serrated Roller its ...now puching way above its weight :001_smile:

The winch helps on the odd occasion too....:001_smile:

Used to use a large grease gun that was part of the tool kit out of a Ww2 American Pershing tank. One pump would release about a pound of grease on a hot day.

I think I've still got it somewhere, can dig it out for you if that's any help.
