Not really an irritation on site but when people contact me looking for work and I get back to them immediately then they don't reply even though I chase them twice.

Happened three times last week.

Lack of general helpfulness I find often on construction sites. Zombies! The let you drive by in a sign written company vehicle. They are expecting you. You don't know where abouts they want you. Or who your looking for.

It's all down to idiots, selfishness, ignorance lack of..... planning, team effort and poor communication.

I'm the other way. I will help someone who is lost etc as it helps them, gets them out the way then everyone can crack on.

 

But there's another problem. Who wants to crack on? They are paid by the hour whatever they do mentality, their days drag though.

Customers who hang around. I had one today on a Leylandii takedown who I swear just kept popping out of the ground like a mole to watch, take videos, ask that everything over 6in gets cut into lengths for firewood, ask about every phase of the job.

 

Do you think we were offered a cuppa? Kettle must have broken, I think.

I hate staff that try to shove 13" into an 8" hole.

It's a problem I've had since becoming a man but some groundies apply this to feeding the chipper! Lol!

It really winds me up when I see people using long reach hedge cutters trying to cut through branches as thick as their bloody arms. Then they wonder why the gears are knackered. :-/
