How about an extended rainstorm, triggering a landslide, on a hillside, with a condominium complex below it, at 1:00 am?

My job was to remove the 85 foot pine in the middle of the slide, comin down the hillside real slow.

Even with a long reach 120 ton crane, the tree had to be taken in two picks, meaning I'd have to stay with the remaining pick as it slid down the hill.

Fortunately the CO was a cool icy pro, the power n phone company crews had the night lit up like high noon, and the job went smoothly.

The key being the CO spooling in as the entire mass got closer to the crane.

Being on emergency call for PacTel is probably one of the most challenging jobs in this biz.

Rain or shine it's your azz on the line!

Dropping 1,000s upon 1,000's of cookies (the right way up) into the bottom of little plastic pots travelling along a conveyor belt and on to the next person in line who pressed a button to squirt some custard /jelly like substance.

In comparison people in arbwork have nothing to complain about, regardless of anything!

cheers, Steve
