I bought some meindl airstreams at the begining of this year and there bloody marvellous!! Can be a bit narrow though or some feet ive heard?

Agreed. My right (wider) foot aches after about 2 hours in them. Anyone interested in a pair of size 9 Airstreams that have had ~30 hours wear, all on the ground? Sensible offers via PM. Jon

Had Waldlaufers for a year and by far the best boot I have had so far!!

Tough, comfortable, good fit, not red (:001_tongue:) , narrow for getting into tight crotches and getting out again. plenty of grip on the soles and around the sides which is really useful! Steel (not composite) toe cap!

Think Jonesie does the best price !!

Plus I reckon they got a bit more life in them - maybe another year even!!

Edit: Some people find them to narrow - But I found Haix to be too wide around the toe! HTH

just to really throw the cat among the pigeons, i find the husky leather chainsaw boots are quite comfortable. they are waterproof straight out of the box and provide plenty of support and have a decent inner sole provided. they are that comfortable i wore mine for two days non-stop at the leeds festival and i was glad on the friday night i had as there was a crush when the prodigy performed. the medical bods were treating people for twisted ankles and crushed toes but not me:thumbup1:

I used to buy those for a while as they were the only ones that were stocked in our local saw shop - the only good thing I can say about them is every pair I had fell to bits quick enough to have them replaced under warranty

Buy good - buy once!

i've worn mine for nearly two years now, admittedly not every day but most weeks i have had them on every day and i've found them better than the old brown stihl boots which i used to buy. However they are now looking a bit jaded round the edges and at the heel so they will probably get relegated to use at land rover trials and i'll buy myself a new pair of boots probably haix:thumbup1:
