Don't forget your Anvils

Entec anvils are a bugger to change.

I did mine recently when I had to remove the feed roller on mine. Remove the hopper, remove the roller box. Try and undo bolts holding bottom anvil, round off bolts. Drilled head out on one bolt. Tried to drill out head on other. No drill I had would touch it. Ended up having to grind down through the anvil to take the head off the bolt. Side anvil not so bad. One bolt unscrewed. And the othe drilled out easy.

I was thinking about doing mine soon. Did you try heating the bolts first?

Not specifically for the anvil bolts. The service manual for the tw 125 is available online and gives torque settings for the some of the different size bolts on that machine. Gives torque for the bottom anvil bolts. But not for the side anvil, so I just tightened these by eye so to speak

Hi does anyone know how they are to change on a greenmech arborist 150 2004

Do you happen to know the exact model..? Only the Arborist name wasn't used until recently on the 150... So assuming it's a 2004 machine it's probably an 'eco', or more likely a 15-23, alternatively, which engine is fitted to it..?

Jase.

This is where Jensen owners can feel a bit smug.

Did mine today, took nearly 5 minutes. Could have done it a bit quicker if i hadn't stopped for a cuppa half way through.

Need to do mine, went to a few weeks back but the other side was as sharp as a circle! God only knows how it chipped in that condition! Has anyone used Saturn knives anvils or is genuine the way to go?
