would be fair to note here that my views have equal and opposite views to some of other members, this is normal, and what is also normal is we can discuss Trumpy and the merits of his failings / triumphs (depends on your views), no insults traded. This makes a healthy discussion and a lively thread... but also quality and one to read.

This thread in its original incarnation was/is a decent read but in reality it’s degenerated into the anti Trump society thread, the pics being posted and rhetoric recently is just bloody embarrassing considering most of you are I presume grown

men. You guys sound like a bunch of 6th formers after a couple of beers gibbering on endlessly about Trumpy this, rapist hero that etc etc etc “Edity” 🤷‍♂️

Now now I was referring to your childish juvenile name calling.  Your imagination got the better of you there. Very crude.

[my underlining]

As said not so long ago, Trump is POTUS, this is the POTUS thread.

If you want to complain, complain about the constant derailments: maybe insist that new threads are started for new digressions.

Oh and just for info: 'linky' edity' etc are the usual terms used on most forums among imaginary friends to uphold the sense of community. Something which because of your aggressive, inflammatory posting is lacking here.

I didn’t presume for a minute they were, I was merely pointing out to your ATL teammates the concept of openness as opposed to anonymity.
You talking of the democratically elected president of America I presume ?
In reality I’d rather paint decking than  get into a conversation on that front with you 42. They tend to become a question after a question after a question ie ****************ing pointless. Meanwhile back at home it’s good to see the fools governing the uk have finally woken up to the strategic importance of having our own steel industry 🤔🤔🤔now which member has repeated that line a few times ?? Ive lost count eh.

See how easy it is 42 🤷‍♂️even you can do it, how’s the bin situation down in that labour led multicultural paradise by the way.

Fair enough, you've asked a question so I'll answer it. The bin situation is obviously pretty shit here. Other than that Brum is as good and vibrantly multicultural as ever. I don't quite understand the question about the steel industry, it's not phrased very well. I think you're saying it would be good for it to be British owned. I completely agree. I'd go further and also nationalise all critical infrastructure and utilities.

Yes I was talking about the democratically elected president of America. Or POTUS, as in this thread title. I asked two very simple, quite civil, questions in the name of normal adult discussion of a pertinent topic. I asked you as you've previously been very vocal on this subject. (Though surprisingly reticent for the last week or so). It's always good to get an insight into the thinking behind an opposing viewpoint, that's how conversation works.

So. As a former fan of President Trump, what do you perceive to be the rationale behind the incompetence and chaos? What should be the UK's response to the shit storm that's ensuing?

Chinese leader canvasses Spain and other trading partners on how to tackle economic fallout as market turmoil continues

Anyone got any ideas on how this all going to end?! :D

Xi isnt an idiot, Im guessing that he will come out on top.

He'll clearly come out on top, much like Putin. They're both players of the long game. They can both concentrate for more than five minutes on a strategy for starters; which is four more than Trump can manage!

Plus China has huge resources, of almost any form necessary to weather a standoff with the US.

I'll stick my neck out and say that America will be worse off at the end of it all. Not just economically, but in terms of "soft power" as well.

You are so anti Trump you are literally praising two in everything but name “

Dictators” of course they are in it for the long game. They have zero opposition until the very end game is played out. By all means have your daily trump rants but praising the abilities of two genocidal dictators 😳🤷‍♂️

Those huge resources you speak of doesn’t include the buying power of the USA, maybe why the Chinese leader is all of a sudden cosying up to the EU, mind you 42 you always did have a soft spot for the Chinese way of doing things.

Potus 🤷‍♂️more like Trumpus

And that folks, says it all really. Just in case anyone hasn't yet formed an opinion.

Thanks for the corroboration, again Davey.
