I'm sorry Dave but you've completely missed the point again.

It's not about convincing you that there are more than two genders or biological sexes or whatever you want to call it, I wouldn't expect that to happen. I don't necessarily believe that myself in scientific terms, but if someone wants to identify as something different to how they were born, I couldn't care less. It's basically about not being a cnut to someone whose probably already had a pretty hard time of it, essentially about chosing to be kind in a situation as opposed to insisting on being "right" when there's nothing to gain from taking that position.
