Hello All,

Just a couple of questions.

I have a lot of split seasoned (for over a year) sycamore, which i am wondering about selling at roadside.

Firstly, will people buy sycamore, I burn it myself in a stove and open fire and quite like it but what is the general view about it?

Secondly, i would be selling these in 10kg net bags, what would the average price be for this? I was thinking for 1 bag for £5, and 5 bags for £20?

Thanks in Advance!

A

Yes people will buy it! It's great firewood: clean burning and not much ash but it does burn a bit quick like birch. Price wise depends what the goin rate is in your area but £5 seems to be retail price round here for most netted logs

THE least labor intensive wood going . Seasons quick , splits easy peazy and burns a goodun . Like it .

I have had sparks coming off my axe as it bounced off seasoned sycamore.

It may well split easy when fresh but it goes damned hard when seasoned.
