Hopefully buying a mini digger tomorrow, it's a 0.8t. I would like to hire it out to people but wasn't sure how other owners do this and how to minimalize the chances of it getting stolen, also how much is it worth on a day rate if delivered to 20mile radius, and just any other information that you think could be helpful to me

Out of interest what are people paying for 1.5 tonners ?

I seam to be doing more and more hire with myself driving and am thinking of replacing the old JCB 8014 with something new but have been asked if I would hire it out self drive.

£250 wk for 1.5 ton speedy/buildbase new machine fully working with warranty backup not worth owning for amount of use

Tried hiring out out machine few years back with cost of insurance, delivery and getting paid for damage and breakage ,it was unbelievable where people got the machine stuck and expected me to get it out free of charge and fuel , it was always filled from a can dispite having two filters, one customer filled it with red diesel 20 yrs old having stripped the engine twice I stopped hiring letting friends use so to be able to use it myself when I wanted to

If hiring must have loler inspection and full service records

I would advise you to think carefully if you want a machine you can use in the future

Mibee rates are higher where u are but those rates seem pretty steep, i was getting a tidy new 8T machine for 80 a day his 3T machine is 65 and 1.5-2T machine about 45.

Lot to go wrong esp hiring it out to random numpties.

Must admit never driven a machine as small as a .8T but usually the smaller the more unsteady, jumpy and easily rolled.

My mate used to hate those tiny machines and call them the nodding dog, as ur heads just constantly nodding

At those prices it would be mad to hire it out machine only.

We get more than that 1.5 ton rate per day for hiring out rotavators
