At least it's reassuring to know that there is nothing nasty going on in the world if scary hornets make the headlines.:thumbup1:

Apparently there is a solicitor planning a law suit against sir David Attenborough and David Bellamy as we speak. Someone is too blame and these are the likely suspects.

so then, who do we trust to give us relevant, impartial correct news? You have to remember the majority of Joe public loves a bit of drama compared to reality.

Good question, and having spent a little time watching American news channels ie. Fox News, CNN and others reporting the same stories completely differently, I'm aghast at the spin given to twist events.

I can only suggest we take a bit of the BBC, with a little pinch of salt.

Quite a few Yanks hold it in some esteem.

Overall it is a conundrum, I'll give you that.

The daily hate mail.

Answered perfectly below.

You usually find that a visceral hatred of The Daily Mail tells you everything you need to know about the person who hates it and almost nothing about The Daily Mail itself.

There is a worse paper. The Mirror.

How so?

In most cases as soon as you hear someone slagging it off you know they are or desperately want to be seen as "left wing" in the most hackneyed, predictable and pseudo intellectual way.........ie "Look at me! I'm a LEFT WING PROGRESSIVE! because it's LEFT WING to say you hate The Daily Mail!" "I'm a social justice warrior!!" "My name is Mick Dempsey!"

When in reality saying you hate The Daily Mail as way of making a political statement is akin to an undergraduate student from a privileged background wearing a Che Guevara T-Shirt for a few years at uni.

as a side note, I noticed the Daily Mail is directly involved in the latest Clinton Emails development, who'd have believed it? right there at the coal face of the biggest story in the world right now. Where is The Guardian? The Observer? :001_smile:

I dislike the daily mail, not because I want to be seen as anything pseudo intellectual leftie whatever, but because I've got more than 3 brain cells.

It's funny how people that insult the Daily Mail use insults that a 12 year old would use. So you're right, Daily Mail haters defintely can't be described as "intellectual".
