  2. Thanks I will certainly give that a try. Maybe with WD40?
  3. No, the OP of the question, not you. Happens more and more, don't know if attention spans are eroded with ticktocks and youtubes, but many questions are asked on forums, the OP never pops back to read the replies, or to offer further information or thanks.
  4. If you dont try it you will never know whether it works. If its not man enough for the job then I will just have to find a Stihl E30
  5. Hope your not talking about me as I have been on here since 2008.
  6. The initial charge for the dead battery will be charging it from the good battery - have to watch out that you don't get a large rush of current, battery to battery. My view would be an old dumb charger with a current limiter to see if that will do the job. Lead acid batteries will tolerate paralleling batteries, not sure with lithium if it generates a large heat - never tried though. However much it is annoying though, how many hours are you willing to spend working out a fix and are the value of these hours more than a new battery in the first place - 10 hours of your leisure time = new battery? - add them up, getting advice, sourcing the kit you want, fiddling about to make something work / not work and try again.... though I am enjoying reading the thread to see what fixes there are out there so maybe 'getting advice' doesn't count as much.

  9. druggy rockers Primal Scream from Glasgow are doing their bit to bale out the flooded Palestinians Glasgow rockers Primal Scream reported to police for 'antisemitic image' at London show - Scottish Daily Express WWW.SCOTTISHDAILYEXPRESS.CO.UK The group, led by frontman Bobby Gillespie, allegedly showed an image of the Jewish Star of David entwined with a Nazi Swastika
  10. Well that didnt take long... 'Toughen these up': PM flags law changes after Bondi WWW.THENEWDAILY.COM.AU Australia's gun laws will likely be tightened after the Bondi terror shooting that left at least 16 people... Or how about vetting people properly? "But he refused to comment on a report from the ABC that ASIO examined one of the men six years ago over close ties to a Sydney-based Islamic State terrorism cell. He also declined to confirm reports that a black IS flag was found on or inside the alleged gunmen’s car"
  11. The usual school photos of a cute little kid in the school play will be along shortly, obviously taken before he became yet another space cadet cult murderer.
  12. Bondi Beach gunman: Mother insists son is a 'good boy' WWW.GBNEWS.COM The mother of one of the Bondi Beach gunmen has insisted her son is a “good boy” following the massacre which <a... ummmmm.....yeah.
  13. Afraid that’s all I’ve got, it’s been chopped now.
  14. That will not be the narrative they run with Mike. Both the shotgun’s as you say were running extended mag tubes which are not allowed over there.
  15. I'll probably get another battery - I only have one, then I can try this, just a bit concerned it could damage a good battery, is that a possibility?
  16. Unfortunately that’s not what has happened in the UK and many other countries.
  17. Thanks, you and Kram suggested this route, for £10 worth a try, I'll let you know, set ordered!
  18. Is it possible to be pro Palestine without being anti-Jewish? I think so - pro Palesting, anti illegal Israeli settlers - I'll fess up to that. There are about 1 million Jews living in New York. If one of them ever becomes POTUS, then Israel can have it's own B2 stealth bombers to go with the rest of the arab bashing kit

  20. bummer. Assuming you are not using the mower anytime soon, why not try soaking the pistons, which might free up stuck rings? You can try various light oils sea foam or even petrol itself. squirt fluid through the spark plug holes, soak, rotate, suck out the fluid, repeat with another mystery oil, etc.
  21. I have never been to Liverpool but, tempting as the offer is, a 400 mile round trip is a bit much unless anyone is passing on the way down.

  24. Dremmel is shite, made by Bosch. Much better to get the Milwaukee M12BLROT. It is a very rare thing when I buy or recommend anything American, but in this case they have got it right. Annoyingly now that I have the M12 platform, I cant see anything else worth getting.
  25. Both the shooters were on the ASIO watchlist apparantly but still were allowed to keep 6 guns. Tge pump shotguns were already ilegal ,but amazingly terrorists didnt follow the law. The four uniformed Police armed with pistols and radios cowered behind cover for 20 minutes untill a plain clothes officer closed in and began engaging the shooters, then the four officers remembered to protect more than just themselves. In the meantime an unarmed green grocer had herotically disarmed one of the shooters. But now the cops are looking at tougher gun laws because removing law abiding peooles freedoms will somehow make them safer.
