  1. Past hour
  2. It might be a while before I can post anything guys, I was taking my evening walk and I saw this huge beam of strange light in the dark evening sky, I went closer to where it was shining directly on the ground and suddenly it sort of made me feel really odd and actually started to lift me upwards and towards it's source, It seemed to take ages but I saw a huge craft unlike anything I had ever seen,,, I think I may have gone unconscious shortly afterwards. when I awoke I found myself surrounded by a small group of the most beautiful women I have ever seen, "we wish you no harm" the leader said, "our race is dying as nearly all our men were killed in a galactic battle that has lasted many years, we need handsome, virile, intelligent males of a species like us to breed with to save our race" So guys, I don't think many of you are in any danger,, I just wanted to let you know,,,this spaceship is feckin' awesome.

    Jokes???

A frog gets his DNA tested... turns out he's a bit Irish, part Swedish, and a tad Pole.
  4. Just play along.
  5. Strange post..
  6. I'll put this here to save starting another thread, I bid on a little McCulloch last week, mainly because I needed a few bits for the one I have already, looked all there but "doesn't turn over" so it was cheap, less than the price of 20 cigs at todays prices. so I unpacked it today and sure enough it's locked solid, so I remove the plug cap thinking I'll squirt some fuel in the bore and see if it'll free up, and there's a piston stop screwed in it, I remove it and it turns over perfectly, and it has a good spark, and great compression, it's in better nick than the one I hoped to repair, so that will be the donor to this one, I'll pull it apart properly tomorrow and I expect it will be running by the afternoon, all being well.

  8. I fear there won't be enough data to answer this properly but let's try. Which assessors have you witnessed failing a candidate (you or someone else on your assessment)? Just name the institution/assessor or explain more if you want. More than one ticket, more than one institution etc, brief explainer please. Nobody will read anything into only naming and not explaining so nobody needs to fear ridicule for failing a course.
  9. Very, very ordinary rabbits, fox, deer on a farm. Nothing weird. There are two phases of my firearms licensed life. Down south, I was deferent and meek and rewarded with a mentor, closed ticket, knocked back for things etc. Up north, I took a different approach from the start. They firmly know they work for me and that I expect to get what I want, on time or I machine gun letters off to anyone who can make their life hard. MUCH better results. But if you're a bitch and only get rimfire, take heart. Rimfire is the best.
  10. Both the Doosan and Bobcat are on starship mileage at those hours. 3500 and 4000 hours are a lot for a machine that size. deffo a five gallon refurb on that bobcat too. id go with a 500 hour sany for the same money for sure. Will be a newer machine too.
  11. Wordle 1,554 3/6 ⬛⬛🟨⬛⬛ ⬛⬛🟨⬛🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  12. I concur on both counts. Out of interest, what's your "good reason"? I'm going in with both bases covered but it looks like I'll be limited to rimfire for a while at least.
  13. I've known of the odd unscrupulous gamekeeper to shoot owls with a shotgun, but setting out to take an owl with a rifle seems like a bit of a non starter. Ocams Razor: the simplest solution is generally the correct one. To me there are a good few other potential causes.
  14. With wings! Doesn't get more serious than that does it? Eurovision: the ultimate geopolitical stage.
  15. This came up on my breaking news feed. Access Denied WWW.TELEGRAPH.CO.UK Christ on a bike!
  16. And the winner is ........ @Rob D It flashes and everything! How'd you do that, is it a gif or something?

    Jokes???

    Brilliant.
  18. What would be your preference between the E20 in my previous reply, the Doosan In the same post of a 2022 sany with 500 hours? I like the bobcat but I’m concerned it’s just had a lick of paint and is hiding some horrors. It has joystick controls though….
  19. she was Jaggers girlfriend for a while, I can see the attraction.
  20. Looks half the tractor with small wheels.
  21. Certainly looks like a Tawny but I don't think its a bullet hole, I think a fox or similar has taken the head but without getting hands on it is not easy to tell
  22. foxes often find road kill, and bury or partially bury it, intending to return, but quite often do not, as they can be legally shot, and even become roadkill themselves, also undertaker beetles can quickly dispose of a carcass leaving holes that can look like a small bullet or pellet wound, if a shotgun was used the pellets are within the remains after the beetles have done their job, same for a non exited pellet or smallbore rifle, even sintered rounds will leave a trace.
  23. I've had to deal with a few problems over the years and know of a few dodgy people in the area. I've found a suspicious dead own on my woodland about this time of year but when I looked into it it is not uncommon. Young owl fledglings can struggle to feed themselves and with the recent poor, wet, weather may starve to death. I'd look closely at the remains and see if there was anything in them. If someone has shot it I would guess unlicensed air rifle or catapult as I don't think owls tend to be persecuted. You could raise it with your local police wildlife crime officer, one I've met was very knowledgeable, but I've also dealt with other police (as a witness) who left a lot to he desired. Or a local owl charity. It would be worth getting to know your neighbours as they may well know what goes on in the area, legal or otherwise.
  24. Big wheels are off and standards back on. It means I can turn a corner now 😂
