Inexpensive upgrade from prusik?

Cheers, just watched a video of it in use and it looks so smooth I'm tempted to hold off on buying a Zigzag and try climbing with this first instead. -

and in the real world: 1st page of the interent results suggest 2025 US GDP will rise by about 1.8%, Q2 - the one from your Linked in suggests just over 3% but metched by a drop in GDP in Q1.... kram started following Treeaustria Pro?
-
Another one to consider is Camp Tree Access ST, I like it. Treeaustria Pro appears good, no knotted rope bridge, decent Cobra buckles. Single bridge, not sure if you can add a second, I like having two when I'm using multiple ropes. Only dislike is that it has Petzl Ring Open's, or similar, for the bridge attachement, I sort of distrust them.

And this is the reason hardly anyone gets involved in these debates. Rich asked a reasonable question then you come along with some BS hate crap. Everyone thinks what a prick, ICBA, hence the lack of replies. Its a strategy that weve seen time and time again, it works Ill give you that.

Only the bottom should be filed, maintaining the curve, the triangular sides and spine should be left as they are. Short is not a problem you just need the correct shape. Only only the first 10mm -20mm goes into the wood., well dependjng on tree and how thick or rotten the bark is. Mine are just right I think. I saw a video some time back, the climber slipped and spiked the inside of his calf. Blunt or sharp, they will still easily go through chainsaw trousers and into a leg. Scares me that does.

Thanks but your killing the forum man. Stop killing the forum. I did google it in the past but got hit with vids that made me lose the will to live due to adverts and BS and stuff that looked very complicated. I will check out your vid thanks.

Can anyone give me some advice on how to move coins from binance to crypto? I have various coins in binance so I assume I have to move them to one type of coin and somehow move that to crypto.
-
Maybe, it was a long time ago. I just filed the bottom edge flat IIRC. Whatever I did it was not good.
-
I tried to sharpen some distel gekos and made them 10 times worse!. I dont know what I did but it was terrible. They just cut strips out of the tree and wouldnt stick in. A set of new gaffs sorted that little problem out.
-
Agree , I’ve never sharpened a set of spikes in my life… I’ve had people sharpen mine for me … with out asking I’ll add and I wasn’t best pleased!
-
My experience differs. I swapped to long gaffs a couple of years ago and they were too sharp. I'm not a stomper by any means but on soft timber i was having to wiggle and yank my gaffs out each step. They're much nicer now they're a bit blunt.

There's also noticeably less drag from the system when ascending compared to the wrench/stiff tether. Perhaps not much of an issue for chest harness folk, but as a neck tether renegade it's nice.
-
The ability to remove it from your system without dismantling the hitch etc being the main one. Lovely for swapping between SRS & MRS for advancing anchor points. The soft tether allows you to collapse the system with one hand for pulling slack through from above, which could be awkward with the wrench/stiff tether especially with a flat line angle. You just pull down above the freexion to disengage it and collapse the hitch at the same time. You can also adjust the friction settings on the fly without taking it off the rope if you need to. I haven't had to yet, but it's an option if you notice your hitch starting to wear or if weather conditions necessitate it.

Go on? I only watched a short video.
