It's a big tree (3m high and feels like about the same wide...) and shooting all over, including from side shoots. Half a dozen-odd shoots appear for every one we cut. Much of the new growth is virtually impossible to get at through the ivy stems. If I'd known how hard it was I'd have had more of a go at the insurers. They refused to pay for a second go, and suggested we prune it 'as part of the hedge'. Clearly they have NO idea of how fast a lime tree grows. So Ecoplugs it must be.
