    Ladders

I believe I've decided on the extendable combination ladder type. Trying to decide which brand and what size to get but likely the 8 rung. A frame max height of 4m and fully extended its 8.4m.
  14. Obviously, so why aren't arb trucks fitted with a mini fridge for viles of it, should anyone come into contact with it
  15. Thanks wallyrobinet for the point about drift. Am trying to finish off the trunk but save the ivy that is covering it, plus surrounding hedge. Steven P, I have followed your advice over the season - with secateurs, not shears - but wouldn't advise it for a large stump. It's a big tree (3m high and feels like about the same wide...) and shooting all over, including from side shoots. Half a dozen-odd shoots appear for every one we cut. Much of the new growth is virtually impossible to get at through the ivy stems. If I'd known how hard it was I'd have had more of a go at the insurers. They refused to pay for a second go, and suggested we prune it 'as part of the hedge'. Clearly they have NO idea of how fast a lime tree grows. So Ecoplugs it must be.
  16. Because anti-venom goes off and needs to be kept refrigerated.

    Ladders

It wont be left on roof rack unattended overnight, just as no valuable tools are left in it. How much!?! Looks just like a normal extending combination type but with a fancy bottom bar for adjusting it level - while I like the idea, I dont like how its done with a curved bar and I'd want to know spares are available - which dont show on the spares page. I do like using shorty hedge cutters, the Makita UH006 is excellent for cutting thick tops, much quicker than a long reach on a narrow hedge.

  20. it was readable yesterday - I saw the MOD had given the Israeli firm and Raytheon £2m each to develop their bids. A £2bn contract for training - using modern tech
  21. Well he won't be paying for them I would imagine as he can be seen asking for donations outside a 4 star hotel he was staying at in Havana before going to the Bahamas to finalise publication of his film. However I'm sure that if he does need funds then he'll sell his villa in Spain 🤞
  22. Eggs is recycling thread titles from Sex and the City intro monologues.
  23. Well that escalated quickly! I question whether the WRWC opener and a weekend of weddings and celebrations should have been sacked off the sit here with popcorn? So the title is "Convince me..." but there's no way anyone can, you're so embedded in your views and unwilling to change them, so its a fools errand to try. However tomorrow is another day and someone is eating humble pie, or is it a best of three thing?
