JCB have been competitive for machines for me, and I believe they will also offer PL ins.

Thatβs a fairly simplistic view, but one I totally agree with.

PS: Forecast here is 16 degrees

Morning all, Taking Iveco in to get trailer electrics sorted then hedge cutting. I remember just over 30 years ago washing my Land Rover in early November and the water freezing before it could run off the bodywork.
-
Morning, dry and mild here. Boys are working locally and Iβm going to take the dog and myself a good walk, look at a couple of jobs and a general potter day.

No, not a fitter or mechanic by trade although, I did spend a year at GreenMech in Assembly and Service! Always done spannering at home and when running a tree business. Just enjoy it.....yes, I have rebuilt a few engines and stuff as I'm from the age when stuff got mended not replaced with a new one out of a box! I'm easily confused by electrics though!
-
Well you can do that because each time you step down thereβs another 7β log to chuck off.
-
I just use biner, and the ring on saw strop. Ringing down a stem I don't pull it up and down very often so this doesn't upset me. Saw the ring, feather throttle to keep cutting in through in one. Leave that log where it is, saw half way to next ring and leave the saw there. Now push off top ring, step down on stem, move lanyard so you have room for another cut. Repeat.

Kind of review for tracked wood chipper SZ130
Dan Maynard replied to covex's topic in Large equipment
You don't need to convince me on the mini chipper, I bought an approximately 10 year old JoBeau M500 about 8 years ago for Β£3k. Blades, belts, bearings, little bit of weld, some yellow paint, still chips like a champ. I can see the attraction of cheap Chinese, I have a cheap stump grinder but the main reason that doesn't break very often is that I hardly use it. -
Meaning that there may be a legal argument for the council to prune or remove trees? How would you assess or quantify what level of deprivation warrants action?

I I suppose this should be in a film thread but hey ho . I have just read ( after all these years ) that the " in bread , back woods " character who played the banjo in the film Deliverance didn't actually play at all . A pro musician was hidden behind him . Dueling banjos is the track . Dunno if you could put it up mate ?

Quel cauchemar!

Forecast is for pissing down all day, the customer is insistent on me coming today, even though I donβt require any input from them. 50m of overgrown Laurel to hit back to waist height, chip and go, no climbing. It will give me the chance to try out my new ex mod gortex trousers at least.
