  1. Past hour
  2. 😂😂😂😂👍 Well when it comes to not ever being able to provide evidence to back up the multiple accusations over the years yeah no one runs around like SP. Mind you he’s not the only one I seem to recall some rather outlandish unfounded statements from a long running thread concerning the flu a while back 🤔
  3. You can really go wrong... cut it down leave 150mm stumps and it will regrow.. you could cut higher or lower if you wanted. Chances are it will regrow fine regardless
  4. It is very difficult to debate this with you both as our views are so diametrically opposed. You see in Trump and his cronies a strongman who is fighting woke, defending American rights and standing up to the world. I see a deeply corrupt and appalling shit stain of a man, who has surrounded himself with similarly compromised and cruel people, in order to obtain wealth and power at the expense of just about everyone else. He is using the office of President simply to serve his own ends and his election is a depressing reflection of just how stupid and gullible significant chunks of the American electorate are. Not to mention racist, selfish, xenophobic and uneducated. These two positions are so far apart, there is little point in us ever really debating this. Week after week, Trump will be in the news for various horrendous transgressions, all of which you'll dismiss off-hand because they don't emanate from your selected news sources. As time passes, this abject degradation of the office of President, the debasement of American Democracy and the descent into fascism will be normalised and accepted, even by those that oppose the ideology. And these are the kind of anticedent events that give rise to such horrors as WW2. 2025 America = 1933 Germany.
  5. No he won’t Andy he will dodge around every way he can to avoid answering any questions for months on end, apparently it’s called “ running rings around people” Like I say not much changes here.
  6. So you and J are utterly unable to provide any evidence other than "trust me bro!" Thats the hill you're gonna die on?
  7. what feckin' thread am I on, they're all starting to look the feckin' same!
  8. Linkedin: I see where you come from, but no. Not every conversation revolves around the rubbish you post on here.
  9. Yeah I was cheeky and then asked a simple question. You ain’t all good manners yourself lad. Absolute rubbish, I’m often on the receiving end of that type of remark but that statement is BS. I asked for the names, I never asked where you visited or had runs ashore nor for any pictures. I could have and would have deduced that myself if you had named them as requested. Show me where I ever mentioned pubs or ports that either of us had been too ?? you have literally made that up. Not remotely interested and never asked you for any of that so utterly irrelevant again just BS. Pointing out the utter stupidity of the comment by another antagonist regarding information security. I’ve already answered that one, that is an incorrect assumption on your part not mine. You volunteered far more utterly irrelevant detail and information than I ever asked for or indeed wanted in the original question put to you and now are complaining about the information you yourself provided. I suggest going back and reread the original post lad. I’m not the one digging here. Guilty as charged for being a cheeky twat at the beginning by calling you a fool maybe but 🤷‍♂️🤔.

    Spikes

Only tried them for an hour or so. Now I didnt adjust the shin guard, needs to be higher I think but that didnt cause any comfort issues the pads are comfy. The spikes arrived, as expected, blunt and rounded - consider import stuff a loosely assembled box of parts. So last night I watched a quick YT or two and gave them a quick sharpen. Note that I have a lot of experience sharpening tools bht never done spikes before. Best spikes I've ever used. Being sharp makes so much difference. However I was using the original TPU straps, quickly my feet felt like the top was being squashed and I had to take off. New buckle straps will fix that Im certain.
  11. .. myth that his name was Rodger, but correct - Tom.
  12. Tom the cabin boy .
  13. Today
  14. What he means Andy is his source is fine anyone who disagrees with him or has a different political ideology, then there sources are not credible. You are maybe a bit rusty but not much has changed mate.
  15. Any opportunity for a little dig eh wee man. How the evidence coming along for the personal information accusations ??
  16. BillQ, do you think that, if I ask nicely, I'll be allowed to join the game? In anticipation of a positive answer I'll list the ships that I served on. Then, it'll be up to others to guess my name rank and number. Here we go . . . . . . . . . 1963 HMS Raleigh - shore 1964 HMS Cambridge - shore 1964 HMS Ashanti - F117 1965 HMS Excellent - shore 1966 HMS Scarborough - F63 1967 HMS Decoy - D106 1970 HMS Excellent - shore 1971 HMS Royal Arthur - shore 1971 HMS Excellent - shore 1974 HMS Victory. Who am I?
  17. There is more than one article out there with the same story - different parent news sources which adds credibility to the story. If the article was an opinion piece on say, Linkedin I would also be saying 'Bless', but more than 1 credible source for this one.
  18. Thank you all very much for your feedback. I appreciate it. Next job is to coppice it and hope it does better next year. May I ask one more question? When is it best to coppice a Goat Willow?
  19. Gestational diabetes linked to autism and ADHD in new study THECONVERSATION.COM Children were 36% more likely to be diagnosed with ADHD and 56% more likely to develop autism if their mother had... Trump and RFK are probably well aware that the food and drink industry is worth more than the pharmaceutical industry.
  20. Absolutely, though as others say, diagnosis is on the rise. My wife worked with many children and young people who were on the spectrum and we also knew several families where it was prevalent from grandparents to great grandchildren and across the whole spectrum. Taking Mencken into account, I wonder if it is just a case of keeping oneself in the limelight by saying something...anything?
  21. Well let's just have a look shall we, out of nowhere you insult me and immediately ask what ships I was on. Normally if it is just a side issue a DM would suffice, but due to your nature in other threads this was unlikely as you have had a go at people because they aren't in the arb business, so that is why I asked why. If you had asked if I served on Richmond or Fort George then it would have been a quick conversation, however that's not good enough for you and you press on and so I give the only one that had been built at Swans, but rather than type in her full title I chose to use the pennant number, but that wasn't enough nor a single ship. So I gave you photos and all the seagoing pennant numbers and all the delightful and not so delightful places we visited and for some reason you still want me to put the names up? As others start to question why you need such info you double down. "There wasn’t really any point as such in the question nor any need for a random name to be thrown in or for it becoming a pissing contest of who’s been where and to what port or pub. " If there wasn't a point surely you drop it before those comments above? No, you have to fight your corner and start belittling people who are giving you an out, but you can't back away from the hole you dug. So you keep it up. I gave you the names of them, why you couldn't Google them I don't know. If you want I can look at my records and give you dates of joining/leaving and also the shore bases, Fisgard, Sultan, Caledonia, Nelson, Royal Arthur, Drake. "Don’t judge people by your own standards lad" Lad? More belittling and diverting and eventually off on a tangent about RN TV shows. You tried to call me out as a Walt, it didn't work, get back under your bridge.
  22. So you formed your opinion based on an article? Bless.
  23. RIP Dickie Bird. Cricket umpire. 91, not a bad innings.
  24. When chainsaw milling, even with a full size loader for the lifting, I find turning logs through 90 degrees and restarting the cut direction a bit challenging. Its easy to go out of square. Generally I start off making thick slabs for lower quality work (posts, outdoor furniture or even a small bridge once). Then I make narrower boards towards the middle where, when they are dried I will remove the heart and call the outsides quarter sawn. Then I make some thick stuff again at the bottom of the log. I re-stack the boards in order so I know what is what. Of course it depends if you have a long enough bar and enough wood to do this.
  25. Read the article, 50k bribe accepted.
  26. ... maybe but the milder cases don't get financial support - got to prove you need the financial support which is the more severe cases and they'd be diagnosed before so would get the support regardless.
