It’s a meaningless accusation thrown around by naive fools nowadays. Saying that the howls of indignation if those words had been uttered by me would have been deafening from the usual suspects. In all honesty I don’t overly worry about the opinions of a handful of often anonymous individuals on an internet forum.

Yeah. Quite agree. Plenty of people don't need to be able to recall and recite Henry VIII's wives' names, their times tables or the tax treatment of gingerbread men to be classed as intelligent. But try teaching that sort of thing, or why you put a sheet down before you trim a hedge, or why you wash your hands before surgery, or why you put the load as much as possible over the tyre of the barrow, or why an earthquake happens, or whatever whatever whatever to ten blacks, ten whites, ten brows and ten yellows. A pattern will emerge. For anyone joining the conversation now and wondering why Enoch Powell has joined in, read back a few pages to see the context before calling me a racist. Then call me a racist by all means. I'm not but it'll give Dave a few minutes off.

Perhaps we should be defining teaching and educating better, you can teach people how to pass exams but it isn't educating them anything useful in the great scheme of things surely?

Uniforest titanium 14 ton log splitter for sale. I bought this new from Riko UK early 2016, it's got a tail board and lights "not pictured" & weighs around 500kg I believe. We have extended the table so it's easy to work with big rings as there is plenty of room to split without dropping wood on the floor. The table can also be removed so you can either break down big rings on the floor or for splitting billets. It's been used for 2 days since 2020 and has sat in a barn out of the weather. I have as of 2 days ago done a complete service as I didn't intend to sell the machine. New air filter, spark plug, & engine oil all genuine honda & New hydraulic oil, it's all greased up and can be put straight to work. The only issues are very light surface rust where the power coating has come away in places. A wind down leg is missing "doesn't affect anything as it's not needed" & a bolt that I put in to stop the table moving about has snapped "see photo" again doesn't affect the machine. It's been a brilliant machine but I no longer have a use for it. £4000 or very near sensible offer Wakefield west Yorkshire Simon 07977114605£4,000

I was following on from tree fancier saying blacks are just as teachable as anyone else, that they have the same hardware but just aren't educated to the same standard as whites, yellows, browns. I don't think they have the hardware to cope with the sorts of things the west wants to teach people. Ten blacks and ten whites, the whites will pick it up faster. Also shows in untaught critical/lateral thinking, problem solving.

It’s felling on utility networks (powerlines) to make them “resilient” to storms/trees falling and causing damage, just a larger volume of timber to move!
