when you say burning oil, is that oil that is leaking round the head gasket then smoking off (like the photos in your first post) or has that oil leak been fixed and oil is still getting into the combustion, as a separate problem?
-
I took it apart but have lost the images somehow. No obvious scoring on the cylinder though. Re-fitted a fresh head gasket and carb which needs a tune. I think I got the tappets done correctly. Still burns oil. Considering fitting a compatible Chinese engine short term to avoid having down time Moteur à essence GeoTech-Pro 420 cm3 en Promotion | AgriEuro WWW.AGRIEURO.FR Moteur à essence monocylindrique 4 temps à arbre horizontal GeoTech-Pro 420 cm3 - démarrage électrique then having a go at repairing the Honda myself IF I ever find the garage space and time. Or moving the machine on with the Chinese engine fitted and buying a new grinder.

Meanwhile, in other news, stuff is turning white. It turns out that bad news is not always about stuff turning black. Worst coral bleaching on record for Western Australian reefs WWW.BBC.CO.UK Scientists say the damage was caused by the "longest, largest and most intense" marine heatwave on record.

best way of removing tree and stumps

Railway land tended to be bought under a parliamentary statute so couldn't be successfully squatted. It may still be owned by the current rail residuary body if not having been sold on. -
Out yesterday doing some scrapes with the jcb. The TAB boom is so handy- lets you pull back in nice and tight to undercut the bracken rhizome cleanly against the blade. Then lift it up tight to build a bund behind you at a higher elevation.

Nice and cheap?

All land, even unregistered land is owned by someone, ultimately its the crown. Being unregistered just makes it harder to find the owner, but there will be an owner. If you aren't the land owner you can't just chop trees, remove stumps, plough, or use the land for access. Whatever you do is bound to be noticed by the users of the footpath.

No , it was a John whose surname escapes me, he worked for Ted Baker -
Nope, what I'm suggesting is that the migrant thing is something of a red flag. I am not saying it's a problem that shouldn't be sorted. It's just not the one that will sort the economy. The real problem in terms of the collapse of living standards is the very wealthy stripping the assets of this country. I actually think the Greens and the new whatever they are called party offer a chance to level things out. Assuming Zach Polanski wins the ballot.

A friend of mine using my digger to shift the boulders put of the border and rip the stumps out on a commercial job that had to be done on a weekend 😮 😞
-
you are suggesting Reform will cause everyone to suffer more than the greens, liberals, labour, cons I wouldnt blame Farage for collapse if he could finally repel - remember it would be a 'collapse' down from a very high level. We are not talking about a collapse down to Sudan standards, if there was one.
-
Yes, but when 'the invaders' are repelled and they are no longer a burden, who will you blame for the continuing collapse in our standard of living?
-
If Farage got in and said 'right another £500 per year tax on all people with income, workers, pensioners the lot - use this extra money to stop the invasion, Navy style'. I would happily learn to love my collapsing standard of living, just to get rid of these invaders. The small boats can't penetrate a wall of grey steel armed with radar. All Navy vessels to the channel and all leave cancelled until further notice

Who would any of you guys recommend speaking to regarding a good second hand machine? They’re not massively common on eBay etc, and I’d rather buy second hand from a reputable source if possible -
Advice needed: MDL Power Up's chippers
monkeybusiness replied to green heart's topic in General chat
I bought an MDL Power Up petrol flail (for the back of a quad) as part of a package of machinery - it was well made and did a good job, but was incredibly heavy on the drawbar (the design seemed slightly badly executed in this regard). Was clearly a bit ‘Chineseium’ in some aspects, but the price reflected this. -
If Farage was to somehow win power and manged to stop these boat crossings, what would you do when living standards continue to collapse? Who or what would you blame then?

Small boat crossings to hit 50,000 since Labour came to power APPLE.NEWS A government minister describes the number as "unacceptable" but says Labour is "making progress". Well “ smashing the gangs “ doesn’t seem to be going very well. 50000 at 42k per head per year 🤔🤷♂️. I suppose shutting down a proven deterrent in your first days in the job based upon ideology wasn’t a good start. The Chagos thing is looking very expensive far more that initially stated. Regards the economy Labour are not going anywhere fast neither.
