-
Its just that mhale pot and piston, I cant tell if it is or isn't but they are sold on Ebay, if i could get a new genuine one ...id buy one ..just a bloody all-rounder. Never liked the 346.
-
This is where we need @peds back. He'd be able to tell us all how to do it properly.
-
Aye, and they're being put up in knackered hotels in Newcastle. Perhaps when applications are sorted there will be one or two. Perhaps not. Stop trying to push a narrative for the sake of it. Everyone is fed up with the shabbyiness of the immigration system in the UK. Bitching about it isn't going to help.

I'm deaf as a post. In my early twenties I wanted to create an actual "Babel Fish", but the tech wasn't there. I had never thought about using it to communicate with non-humans. I don't need to tallk to my dog, but it would be cool to be able to tell my cat she was either, mint, or being a dick.

A D1, just a bit older than I, was mine. First on the road Enfield 250, then a mistaken upgrade to AJS 600, luckily stolen then Bantam d14/4 for my commute to my first forestry job.

but I was told there's boat loads arriving every day.

no idea, never had another to compare it with. barrel looks in decent nick, might source some parts and rebuild it in between more desirable projects as long as it isn't cost prohibitive.
-
I had a few Bantams over the early years, brilliant little bikes, so simple to maintain, never gonna break any speed records but always got me home. even tuned one to get a little more "performance" Todd 160 barrel and piston, Alpha crank, wal phillips fuel injection, expansion box, clip ons, etc. looked and sounded the part but wasn't really gonna set the road alight. then found that with a little backyard ingenuity it was possible to shoehorn a 250 Villiers twin into it,, now that did liven it up considerably.

Dunno, she does it. Pizza is her specialty, (or should that be speciality?).
-
Never had one in that many parts , mainly because it lasted really well and was still going strong when it was sold i resent selling it as it was my first chainsaw that got me through forestry college and in industry afterwards . The ones I had a dull view of was the 340 and 345. Is that the genuine pot or aftermarket one? Did like the 351g..

-
And it still is. I won't be complaining.

Not home owner, land owner estate management saw , still a good saw , 346xp or xpg screamed but had no guts to it
-
Good luck on that with my first bike. A BSA Bantam, of indeterminate parentage. My, but it was definitely “ entry level “ motorcycling. 😆

AI is helping to decode animals’ speech. Will it also let us talk with them? WWW.NATURE.COM The complexity of vocal communication in some primates, whales and birds... "Alexa, tell the dog to fart outside." Could become a reality.

Agreed. I must say that for a forum I respect, and use as an information gathering utility, I regard the antics of many folks on the subjects not dealing with timber related issues as very disappointing indeed. I don’t have any problem with banter ( which is often very amusing) but name calling and insults really lower the tone. I’m by no means a snowflake, but I have standards. As a moderator on an unrelated forum, I appreciate the fine line trodden by those folks trying to keep us all in check.

number 1s an accident waiting to happen - no ppe, face in the kickback zone. who is teaching these people?

I concur. The problem extrapolates when the owners of the AI own the health insurance industry too. Surveillance and asset management companies like Blackrock and Palantir (see Wes Streeting, Vance, Musk, Thiel, Mandelson, Farage etc..), do not consider our collective health as anything other than a metric. Which worries me a bit. Not as much as it would if I had kids. I'm close to 50, have a fit lass, make decent money, good dog and mean eyed cat, so I'm happy. I do worry for my sister's kids though, as I don't see anything getting better anytime soon.

Love it Stephen !
