I don't know how it happened.

I'm the only operator.

The chain jumped off the other day and the groundie put it back on without problem.

Since then the chain oil has been going everywhere except along the bar.

I've finally noticed that the chain has cut the metal body into the damn oil reservoir!

Anyone know how to fix this?

mt the oil out, flush the oil tank out with copious amounts of brake cleaner or some udder solvent, dry it out with an air line and leave it in the airing cupboard overnoight to ensure it's bone dry loike, use chemical metal loike JB weld or suchloike to seal up the offending hole. Inspect the chain very very VERY CAREFULLY and try to straighten it out if it's not running straight n' tru. If in doubt buy a new chain. Drink Tea.

That's what I'd do. I'd also check to see if there is any damage to the bar like a bend or a pinched rail.

The bar is starting to de laminate . The rails will spread until you can see right through it . Mine did that . It was held together at the nose sprocket end and the bar mount end . The rest had completely separated . Techshite bar is the problem .

Yes the bars are made out of painted chocolate but that can't be responsible for the chain tension problems I've been having since day one. Surely?

The chain tension can be fine for days and then suddenly becomes very tight or very loose for no apparent reason.

It gets sent down for readjustment and is fine for one or ten cuts then the tension is wrong again.

This can happen ten times a day, or not for ten days.

It's been driving me mad. It's nothing to do with the chain, i've tried three different types.

Now that the chain has jumped off and seriously damaged the saw I am really peed off.

Of course I don't have a leg to stand as Husq will claim operator error.
