think elf and safety might hve to stop you doin the work unless you can show you are competent enough to use it safely and you have all the nesessery ppe to not get any on yourself or the ground so you dont contaminate teh sorounding areas?

I think it's safe to say it is best practice to follow the manufactures instructions whatever they may be.

Some bearings you purge with grease and some others two shots every xx hours is plenty.

If it doesnt explain well enough in the owners manual then I would speak to the manufacture.

Failing the above a couple of shots and no more should suffice.
