Poor guy, hope he gets it back. He must be a very chilled and generally happy go lucky guy to offer a free carving course to the thief if he returns it. An almost pleasant change from the usual 'if I catch the git who stole this I would' approach. Although not an approach I think I could go with! Fingers crossed for him. ..

it makes me mad anything they can get there hands on they steal but to take what was a one off is nothing sacred that can be left. i do hope they get caught. but do not hold out much hope on that its a axe is what the police see it as. not a one off precision instrument which is worth more than money can buy. like a very good painting by a great artist only one done same with this.i am gutted to read this and boiling at the same time who did this. wants there hands chopped off

I visited Robin once at his Edale workshop to pick up a knife I bought from him and he is a laid back type of guy. He showed me that axe at the Alveston Castle fair and he was very proud of it. I hope whoever stole it has the decency to return it as they can only keep it unless they deface it as it is stamped with the owner's and maker's names.
