University of East Anglia - Estates and Facilities Division Cleaning & Grounds Department GROUNDS PERSON (ARBORIST) • REF: GG498 £19,612 to £21,814 (plus snow clearance allowance) The University of East Anglia Estates Division is responsible for maintaining the University Campus as an exceptional place to live, study and visit. We are seeking a Grounds Person (Arborist) to provide specialist tree care knowledge and activities within the Grounds Team, assisting with tree inspections, record management and operational tree works on site. You will deliver outstanding arboricultural knowledge and skills to support excellent service and to ensure our grounds maintenance services and landscape management are consistently delivered to a high standard. In relation to the management of tree works you will also undertake general grounds maintenance services such as external cleaning, waste and litter management and collection, weed control, pest control and snow and ice clearance, to ensure that the University Campus is well presented, welcoming and ready for use by students, staff and visitors and that University policies and procedures are adhered to. In addition, you will be required to participate in gritting and snow clearance callout throughout the winter. Hello everyone, I urgently need a climber to cover a holiday period of one of my staff. The right man will be very competent at crown reductions and know all about furnishing growth and drop-crotching, no wild pollarders please! Dismantling also required up to 28" DBH. The pay is £11.20 p/h. Our overtime rate is time and half so £16.80 p/h. We generally do 10 to 20 hours a month. Must have own PPE. I need an immediate starter, or asap, who also has a clean driving license. The work might continue beyond 2 or 3 weeks but we'll see how busy we are.
