  1. Medium storage yard, easy access with double gates. Can tip and be on way in a flash. Beer tokens or cash considered for clean usable wood. Will also dispose of brash or chip if un wanted in return. Cheers 30 - 60 minutes heads up would be ideal
  2. Hi all, I've recently completed my CS30 Cross Cut and Maintenance and I'm looking to get into tree work as a groundie/labourer up in Newcastle upon Tyne/North East. I do want to get climbing and up into trees but I'm just trying to get my foot in the door in the industry. Would anyone be able to help out a newbie looking to get a start in the industry? Ideally looking for full time work but a few days here and there would be great so I can get some more experience under my belt. I'm keen to learn and get as much experience as I can and learn from some pros, I've experience snedding and felling trees but not a great deal but I want to learn as much as possible and make a good go in the industry. I want to get stuck in really and make my way in the industry a bit before I get other tickets. More than happy to do all the brash clearance and all the standard groundie/labourer stuff, develop my skills and go onto get all my tickets. Learning to drive so don't have my own transport currently but I'm more than happy to commute wherever needed. Got my own PPE and hunting for a decent ground saw. Will accept clean/cleanish chip and logs over 2" (please chip smaller!). Easy to access the site just drive to the very top of our drive to where you find a green container. Open the gate into the field and you can tip inside the field, but please not on the track. The ground is firm so you'll have no issues backing into the field to tip.

Please consider this site for disposal of any woodchips. Happy to discuss.

A location to drop logs/chippings/brash off. I have the tools to process large pieces. I prefer logs of any type, but will take brash and chip if it allows me to get logs too. Liam from Stan Timmins and Sons has been using me a lot to help him clear his sites. I normally collect, but I'm not against people bringing them to me 😁 I've got a large drive which can be tipped on. It's about 5m2. Also a double gate straight into the garden.
  6. I've just started a 2 year college course in Arb & Forestry in Durham, and I need so many hours of relevant work experience for my course. 34 years old, not scared of hard work or long hours or bad weather. Any work out there for me? Or any advice on where to look?
  7. Hello all, I hope posting this doesn't violate the forum's product-promotion rules (I don't think it does)... I have (very roughly) 20m^3 of freshly cut pine in 30cm lengths, thickness 20-60cm (unsplit), which I can make available for roadside collection near Durham (DH2) in January. I don't fancy transporting or finding room to store all this pine - can anyone suggest a suitable method of disposal? I'm looking for a solution which is quick and easy rather than especially profitable. Thanks for any advice you may have, Tom.
  8. Hi, This is my first post to this forum so a quick hello straight off. Secondly, we had a Binderberger H10 KOMBI model H00H10KB (http://www.binderberger.com/cms15/components/com_virtuemart/shop_image/product/H10_Kombi_486b53f11c1ce.jpg) stolen from our house in North Durham (near Lanchester) on 21st May, 2010. I have a vague recollection that it was originally supplied by Marshall Agricultural Engineering and had a sticker of theirs on the machine. The splitter was distinctive for the fact that the small jockey wheel at the back (ie not the two large wheels shown in the picture) had shattered which rendered the machine immovable without great difficulty. If anyone's seen anything like it, I'd be very interested to know. Thanks, David
