  2. Hello all! I am self employed, and currently looking for work within the West Sussex/Hampshire area! I've been involved in the chestnut coppice industry for just over 2 years. And after spending the last 2 years processing, I now want to start cutting. I hold a CS30 ticket, and am first aid trained, and I am looking for 1-5 days work a week during the cutting season. I have my own transport (not 4x4) and my own equipment. Any experience I can gain would be greatly appreciated. Please email: dan.james.wills@gmail.com
  3. Hi, I am on the hunt for any entry level job in Belfast, I am happy to do brush dragging/labouring to get my foot in the door but my end goal is to become a skilled climber so I am trying to get the experience I need. I have my CS30 and I am aiming to do more tickets but I am reluctant to fork out the money at the minute with no way of putting what I learn to good use. I have done a couple of trial days with a company but didn't hear anything back, I work hard and wasn't told anything negative on the job so I assume it was my lack of experience that has failed me here. I have also emailed all companies local to me but have not heard anything back and trainee jobs/apprenticeships seem to be non existent in Northern Ireland Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Thomas.

  5. Good morning good folks of arbtalk! My name is Adam, I currently live in Wakefield and am going through the process of leaving the RAF and hoping to gain a career in arboriculture. I am booked in to gain my qualifications (CS30, 31, 38, 39, 40, 41, 50) in June from TKF Training in Holmfirth as part of resettlement through the armed forces. To that end I am unqualified as an arborist but would however like to offer my services ground working or labouring for somebody in order to gain some experience within the industry. I am willing to travel, within reason, and look forward to getting stuck in. If anyone has any questions or advice feel free to give me a shout. Thank you, Ad.
  6. Needed for 5 days ground clearance work in Reading. To start Monday 25th January. Please email info@arbeco.co.uk with relevant qualifications and pay expectations. Must have own equipment / chainsaw / PPE
  7. You may have looked at the thread i started about a trainee position, i have since gained an interview at moreton morrel college and fingers crossed i will be starting in september. I am asking if anybody may need a laborer on an ad hoc basis? Then possibly turning into a full time labourer in the months of june, july and august, if the position is there. I say this as i am 18 just finishing off my a levels in the next couple of months. . I really want to gain some experience in the industry and save up some money to get me through college. I understand that to get anywhere in life i need to graft as hard as i can, and that i will do. I have had some experience in our smallholding. I helped my dad fell, split and stack what must be close to 200 dead elm trees and convert them into fire wood. I have been working part time for the last two years and have gained alot of qualities which will help me be a good worker. I am also willing to do a couple of the groundsman NPTC courses before i start if it is needed. I have a car so i can travel pretty much anywhere around the midlands/warwickshire and surrounding areas. I would really appreciate anything anybody can do for me you would be really helping. Ill work extremely hard to make your life hopefully alot easier. If your at all interested please email me or give me a ring and im sure we can work something out, as far as im concerned im pretty flexible.
