    Yes the 11kv needed clearing. Contract company had booked it clear and been paid according to the engineer. So I cut it clear for them using approved techniques and equipment The state of tree cutting in this country is bad because people are pulling the health and safety card in an attempt to get more money. It's just a power line so just as much as a hazard as anything else that poses a risk of causing injury or collateral damage to equipment or persons completing the cutting job. Tree cutters in this country are poor at the moment and the skills are as a result of private training company's charging a huge amount for old rope. Shame as the UK tree work used to be very good .

    Maybe the lower earners can get higher wages if they ask.... When I see ranger jobs advertised for land management at £21k and chainsaw operator jobs for similar money employed and don't see how they will ever get staff. Seen a job recently requirements are plant tickets along with various other high grade skills along with chainsaw operation etc etc it's quite clear employers are taking their chances with desperate people and offering them £12-£14ph it's a joke . I wouldn't work for less than £60k anymore.

    Getting it delivered and offering money isn't very free now is it. As it's for burning in the garden it's probably for a chimnea or outside heating. It's far better to just get it from the woods... That's free 🤣

    Then 94% are poor then. Middle management jobs are £70k + for looking after say 5-6 teams of cutters . Sales people are taking in excess of £100k . Procurement managers are taking £150k plus if they are good. So a couple who both have professional jobs can easily earn £200k
