We're going down the ISA route. Granted, not the same "benefits" as the AA, but we've found Chas is sufficient for commercial clients, and domestic clients can be assured we're "accredited".

400 is a great all round saw and rips with an 18" on it. I use it as an all round every day saw.

Tip sites are good around us (W.Scotland) but it makes more sense for us to meet at the yard in the morning and tip logs and chips when we get back. Chips are either sold to gardeners (trailer/tipper load) or we call AW Jenks when we have an Arctic load.....we get around £8 per tonne atm which pays for hire of tele. Logs are kept in the yard and on quite days we split for firewood. We've tried the whole tip site thing but to be honest paying a farmer £300 cash a month for the space its far cheaper than paying to tip green waste or run around looking for gardens to tip into.....its just what works for us.

Do what we did, get in with a farm for yard space. They'll more than likely have a telehandler you can hire etc for loading, and you'll be away from prying eyes

Looking for advice. Put a hole in a lads CTE top cover (plastic). Would the best repair be fiberglass patching? Cheers

Thats dan sath mate, we're Glasgow! Get a yard in a rural area, ideally farm land, then you won't need to worry about smoke etc 👍 -

Not sure if this is in the right forum....we're currently converting 2 ISO containers into kilns for drying firewood. Given the price of electricity/gas we'll be powering the kilns with seasoned wood on our yard 1. Has anyone had any experience running kilns this way? 2. What would be the best stoves to use to power the kilns. TIA

I used to work harvest for the second largest Christmas tree farm in Europe which is just north of Inverness. They're definitely millionaires a few times over -
Looking at building a temporary (!) Chip box for the above. Looking through previous posts a lot of folk are saying marine ply and composite steel is the way forward. My question is.....does anyone have any pictures of how they've attached them...frames they've built etc? I have looked at pretty much all the other posts but can't find any decent photos. TIA
