  1. I knew of atleast 2 people using top handle saws on the ground for felling on the railways , but this was pre network rail and more railtrack .but you are quite right its just knee jerk reactions to everything , rather than saying your - a twat you shouldn't have your hand there in the first place ,no payout and no job would sort the problem out albeit a very simplistic one
  2. Plantations small or not small used to strim them, any varient of weedkiller will be poisionus to animals and can potentially get passed down , best thing is mechanical its only grass
  3. Don't forget, the fake eyelash, tacky trashy tattoos, fake nails and looking like they'd been shagged by a satsuma
  4. Is mental health that bad in our industry?I know construction sites are bad but I didnt think arboricuture was worse !
  5. Its been five years or more since we've had a decent crop , most of the time theve been useless crop or small, even though we have a pollinator tree close by, but this time they were quite large
  6. Good advert, states what county and nearest location , and its basic ...so many adverts miss the basics now that its a headache
  7. Its battery powered 😐
  8. I'd never use anything like that, after one broker gaveva great quote , then went bankrupt , meaning if I went through with it no insurance . Try aviva... good so far touch wood
  9. Ive never seen so many apples, pears ,damsons speaking of which our chest freezers full of them, even sold 15lb of them and at the final point gave some away ,along with leaving some for the wildlife
  10. Wessex,Fleming- depends what's around in your area look on marketplace to see ,horsey lot sell them off cheap enough, not much goes wrong on them
  11. Probably biomass, powerstation in Oxford used buy up straw as well as chip
  12. Got to be a flail and not a McConnell chain swipe/ jungle buster? Flails can be good... can be shite especially if they come into contact with something hard ..

  15. Let's face it ,people have been weird after the pandemic , they were before but definitely now .
  16. I take people as i find them . However the does seem to be as old feller says . But you can't escape the UK issues , that we cant keep out illegal tossers , like Nigel says we aren't the world's food bank. The dinghy dwellers do not contribute , we also need a shake up of benefits , drug takers and the criminal justice system ... also no pandering to pride and cak like that
  17. How did you get on?
  18. I was picky over training providers ,id rather have gone to private training providers than the whole college crap and you are just a number . I never did give a fk about being failed as long as the was a genuine reason for it and what I did. But also that certain college heald other certs back also ,so nptc Stoneleigh never saw them.. Laugh as much as you want but the isn't many years of experience between me and you .
  19. Think i prefer bashlins, tried the velcro type and didnt rate them
  20. Haha , you trying to find an easier awarding body ? 🤣
  21. Depends , I guess if your paye, you get ppe, sick pay, holiday pay, certs paid for , lower testing paid for , saws paid for, insurance covered , guaranteed work, poss use of vehicle, vehicle insurance covered . Versus self employed/ sub contractor which is a pain . Also dependant on what county your in depends on wages , as well as skill set . Its just short of £700 a week before tax and ni . Are u south West or south east UK?
  22. I'm guessing that's lantra certs, bit like npors -same person trains and asses you? Never had lantra certs or training
