  10. There both very different machines, ones a sub 750kg 6" machine and the other is an 8" with metal chucked at it as weight isn't an issue?‍♂️
  11. Have you tried any other brands?
  12. GJT why don't you get some 8" tracked chippers out on demo. If your going to spend that sort of money you want to get it right?
  13. the tr8 forst (Diesel) is 55hp I believe, Ive used the petrol version (57HP) and love it! I know someone on here had pictures of there new Diesel one a bit back. I looked at the TW equivalent and its the TW280, unfortunately they don't do a Diesel version!
  14. I tried a 6" with a 25hp kubota and it wasn't anything like the old 35hp. That was in a 6", cant imagine what it's like in an 8"!
  15. Conifer and beech removals made easy with the right kit, good few loads of logs taken off site. One of thoes hard work but enjoyable jobs?
  16. Might be worth giving Redwood Used a call, they had a good handful of TW chippers there a bit back.
  17. Always been an Airstreams user but have decided to give the Arbortec scafell lite boot a go. Realy impressed so far but still early days, only had a few weeks.
  18. Joys of working in todays world!
  19. Couple of days of Woodland clearance/thining/deadwood.....
  20. If its just milling you are looking to use the saw for then I would go for the MS661. we have always used the 880 for milling and have stepped it up for a double ended mill with 880 each end. if your able to pick up a used 880 you wont regret having that extra power. What size timber you looking at milling?
  21. Anyone know where I can get a full or 3/4 wrap handle for my 661? Cant see anywhere in the UK that sells them, wondered where ppl have got them from in the past?
  22. DM me if this saw is still available and your looking to sell?
  23. If your not in a massive rush I would get the TW, GM and Forst out on a trial for a day. You can put them through there paces for a day and you will know exactly for yourself then. Doesn't cost you anything and you will be able to decide for yourself what you like best. They all have different good points?
  24. We have got on realy well with this set up.
  25. Belive the they have dropped the engine power from 35HP kubota to the 24HP, i looked at both TW and GM but the Forst comes out at 38HP which made a big difference to performance. But as you said that isn't diesel, the machine is cheaper in the first place though being petrol.
