I can see the entrance its a hole about 1½" across so I filled it with wasp foam. Not sure how many more times I'll have to do it. I had wondered if powder was more effective

Anyone got any ideas for getting rid of wasp nest under ground? I was being nice and letting it stay as I thought it was ground bee's which are pretty harmless and nice creatures. But a blighter attacked me and my arms swollen up. Seems like a larger hole(1"-2") and a constant stream coming and going should have given it away as yellow jackets not bee's. Tried foam but not worked yet (maybe I keep trying that?) Any other ideas that have worked? Soapy water apparently? Petrol and a match? Dynamite sound good fun and effective but non of the layby pop-up firework cabins sell it😕

Yes... interesting a very small amount of private miliage is allowed didn't realise that. But commuting to an office for example is private miliage, not business? Presume going to site from home is business miles however, not private?

Need a really cheap local small runaround 4x4. Won't be doing many miles at all, or pulling heavy trailers etc. Bodywork condition not important but ideally needs MOT. They come up on Ebay/gumtree from time to time under £2k so hoping I can get something for that. Have been offered a 15yr old Toyota rav4 2l diesel for £1k, anyone had any experience of these? I think the jimny would be ideal but tend to have rust issues...

Yes give it a go. If a business leased a ranger then paid for fuel, maintenance, insurance etc itd be that. Maybe over 10 miles, or as someone suggested when you leave the estate or something it jumps up or you charge per mile.

Maybe keep an eye out for a second hand petrol? Yes they are better than electric broadly speaking. Rock do some OK electric ones(probably be more than £700 though) but electric wil always be slower as they tend to be heading towards the max they can pull off a domestic socket/lead.

I had this with a 181, mice had chewed through the oil pipe. The cap leaks as well so check its not running from the cap and just dripping out the bottom.

What cage traps are good/suppliers? Or I could visit local store if I know what to look out for/avoid. And what bait works, Gareth suggested peanut butter? Finally, how do you bump off the trapped ones, other than shooting?

Hi, I'm no gardener but I bought this pear tree last year, I was hoping this year we may get some fruit from it. The leaves are not looking too good and it has not flowered for any fruit. Can anyone help, tell me if or what I am doing wrong. Many thanks

I don't know much about fruit trees but our apple trees in direct sun produce way more fruit than those in shade... does it get decent amount of direct sunlight? -

What's 4" pipe for? Keeping it moist? My pile is going ok but not much heat, and dries out. Do I give it a good soaking then cover with black plastic?

Maybe just me, I'm a Stihl fan for bigger professional chainsaws, but I've found their lower end domestic stuff which I just use around my own property quite unreliable. Would go battery in future if not using much. I'd personally look at milwaukee battery as think they have got the best batteries, but haven't tried husqvarna battery stuff so can't comment.

I used to get a pile of rings and a tractor with vertical splitter, with the promise of £8 for every bulk bag of split firewood I produced. Remember the owner being a bit surprised that the 15yo did 10 bags on his first day. Boy did I used to sleep well😄 Nothing like piece work at that age, harder you worked bigger the pay packet.

Good feedback doobin, they're a great brand and I agree, top of their game. They've put a lot into developing a decent battery which I think always lets cordless stuff down before the motor. I see a lot of milwaukee stuff in plant workshops it seems the most common chosen by plant fitters. It'll take a bit for me to change over on bigger stuff, but for small pruning jobs etc I'd go down this route when I'm next buying. Only have the drills, impact drivers etc at the moment which are bang on. Do they do a kombi setup? strimmer(i mean trimmer), hedgecutter etc?
