  1. Another way to check if rings ok or not if not sure gauge is right? is to drop a little oil down bore leave a short while so runs top of piston then give it a pull see if registers higher?
  2. E10 is less Calorific than E5 and non E so uses more fuel for same bang along with absorbs moisture more than E5 Methanol also destroys rubber/non ethanol proof parts inc tanks! It's caused all sorts of Shite in USA with so many things when some(many) have loaded tanks and pumped more pure ethanol inc going through tanks and matting on floor! As USA is lax with controls on what fuel is put in petrol stations. There's some on you tube that fix saws that had it go through floor. Ducati had an issue with it destroying bike tanks had to go about sorting. Ive always used Super with Stihl (Greeny oil)that has stabiliser in everything. When was down Radmore & tucker guy there was saying about not using E10 in things. There other thing also with old fuel left in which increases with E10 is corrosion/Rust on internals! Got a 555RXT last week that had the Old fuel Syndrome/illness/disease(Can be hard to start but won't idle or does then dies and don't pick up on throttle)Machine even thought 2011 serial numbered is mint inside casing Can is still shiny silver! and crank casing yet when had carb apart the screw by metering had some rust/corrosion on it! Gauze filter was covered in cack so cleaned out with Brake/carb cleaner so back to shiny! cleaned rest so now runs! So something else to be mindful if leaving esp outside in sheds/garages
  3. I measure in a jug i got that gives all mixes on side but now got the Stihl litre bottle that has bit at top to measure. Just plain litre plastic bottles just F'in leak as don't seal right! as cut bit off to open but as soft there isn't much for cap to bite/seal on edge so kept weeping! Put oil in can then 5 litres of Super give it a shake also after then put into fuel can when it's low always keep it that way so not making mistakes or mix wrong if stick to 5 litres
  4. Lidls give decent actually plus many of there power tools are Milwaukee subsidiary line
  5. You can get a Recip saw in blue bosch then go with the long Wood blades that will cut loads. Pruned a tree out when we was trying to put a fence up plus had roots out. They work on saw horse also there is some pretty aggressive blades out there from likes of Bosch.Lennox etc
  6. Trouble these days isn't we can't but "Aimed/Taught" by Controlled media that life is in PC/Coding/Desk jockeying/Paper shuffling. There are young guy's that scamper round like a Squirrel on speed yet many just get advantage taken out of them! Much though has come from Shit Schooling with Social experiments over the years.(Was one thing done years back to take thinking from you). But in this country we have always been told/fed were lazy.ignorant.racists etc much is to bash us down which England is one of the top on ladder to keep natives down!. Media loves to inflame the race/immigrant card much of it sponsored by likes of Murdoch etc. Myself don't have an issue with others taking jobs if can do properly! But what i do have an issue with is a non level playing field take HGV/LGV many coming in do not have to/havent taken an HGV test they go to likes of post office in there country and buy.stamp for X amount.(Reason why so many crashes as so many can't reverse even)and Can do there CPC as and when when UK drivers have to do NOW! There are many trades that are very skilled but income is poop compared to someone sitting on there Butt hole in an office. Friend made Real decent furniture designed it also yet shit cash. Welding can get reasonable if fully Coded plus need to be in right place.
  7. Trouble is these day's apart from so many are only one pay packet away from "Street Life"! So many can't scrape enough together to pay bills let alone a deposit! and Many that rent with these dubious agents/landlords have there deposit stolen under some false guise. Know a few that have it stolen yet place and everything was spot on.
  8. Are the posts uniform? if so piece of steel tubing/pipework or even curled round then end welded onto it and weld an handle/s to side to hold up place over top of post and can whack with anything without post splitting up. Ive a long handled 4lb lump hammer that takes care of most things/people etc! or you can use back of Axe/Hatchet Idea is to turn it into a sort of Cap that holds post and get a uniform hit on it.
  9. Try running with Forte.Redex.Millers.Lucas fuel treatment as much of the diesel these days has very little goodness but lot's of other stuff that many don't like chewing! So injectors suffer! Also dose it up on cleaner then take for a hard blatt down the M'way etc to get it hot and flushed out.
  10. Fuel mixture too high in petrol to air values and lower performance of engine the more it smokes ie a low compression engine will smoke more than a high which would most likely be able to use the extra fuel till becomes too far out of values!
  11. Bridport 35 from dorch into Bridport right towards Crewkerne past Lidls(on your right)road rises to slight left bend and on your right is a road down into industrial estate down end is a place doing stihl/husky and shed loads of other things also there is a Aspen dealer there. 3-5 St Andrew Road Industrial Estate Bridport Dorset DT6 3EX
  12. I'm sorry to hear that, maybe fair enough time to hang them up. I only do/did for fun mostly sort of thing helped others out and did some huge trees at shooting club and so on. Self taught on most things learn't how to do safe and where/how to do cuts so they drop where want them to! Joys of Autism/Asperger's? pick things up quickly not a qualified mechanic buy built engines.gearboxs.polish and ported heads and built own car and full rewire inc fusebox plus fuel injection system which modded. Braking system uprated inc discs all round and suspension and more! Went like a scolded cat! Can go near enough anywhere in country without a map!
  13. On Warfarin have clots in both lungs with damaged lungs plus have Fibro and Raynauds Hopefully now next year!!! get to Royal Free that deals with connective tissue diseases and raynauds and find out if have Scleroderma which would explain much! 346xp.372xp. Stihl 044 early 12mm with slanted finned cylinder that has full wrap.deep clutch cover.big dawgs&chain roller.DP muffler. and shed loads of bars chains some still in packets.stihl ballistic suit.boots.files sharpening kits.electric one also Grandberg.leggings.
  14. That's the one i'm talking about! =Armageddon coming to some rough stuff near you!😁
  15. Most likely? will have a Kawasaki KBH48cc for sale inc near enough a spare machine plus another new carb. Just got my Sticky Mitts on a husky 555RXT Mind thinking of selling all my saws and kit also plus Mechanic'ing tools.
  16. Trouble with twin blades is you have 180deg to smash shite out of gear head! And if slightly out of balance shakes the shite out of strimmer where as three prongers you have other two blades 120deg either side opposed to 180 so they negate balancing a fair bit.
  17. It's either from above with hole going down through into cup or from the side of cup and norm smaller machines it's from side there's a keyed round part that everything locates on that has a 10mil'ish hole on either side that you push pin/bar into from one side of cup that has a hole in.
  18. How is what your towing it with? ie rear suspension/hitch? As if rear end is sitting too low could be pushing brakes on with nose of trailer pointing down with load so once braked and on the go again it can't regain the backed of stage as any free play is taken up by mech under load.
  19. Thing with a lot of Attachments though is most are made by A N Other supplied to Sthil/husky etc Oregon is one of them and they buy in also. Sthil Strimmer visor/Bonce wrap with muffs is a rebadged 3M one. I look at anything going to buy/use and much of it stays where i saw it!
  20. There Illegal VIA H&S on those chatting to guy whose on clearance one of the guy's on Railways was killed by them as blade came a drift! as only held by "Chinese" stamped over rivets. better if replace with nuts and bolts but nothing special to be honest circles too small and like a flat tri blade just cuts then dumps on head there is some with wavey edges that could be better as needs some mulch/disturbance like Cord does or not making decent progress
  21. The square is the input/central parts of cord head that unbolts from main strimmer output shaft. Have to lock it and it's a left hand thread.
  22. Hi yes they come with a reducer washer also for lesser units. Trouble with many is that they just go flat out/hell for leather when strimming and just smash cords off rather than moderating throttle control plus cord left out goes brittle as effected by UV. You need the cup.Nut and Raised splined washer that fits over blade under the cup just check spacing under cup as it and nut is meant to flush fit on raised washer so nut is down tight on that then all Gucci! It's Armageddon in use Bushes? where ha you mean those bits sticking out of the ground! Brambles/Thistles even thick grass it works on just have to work your best method of attack out as with grass will often ball on head if go through cut stuff. Do like the Oregon Jet head. These are good also Universal Aluminium Line head WWW.EBAY.CO.UK Find many great new & used options and get the best deals for Universal Aluminium Line head at the best online prices at... 30cm / 12" Tri Blade Heavy Duty Brushcutter blade with 20mm centre WWW.EBAY.CO.UK Brushcutter blade. 30cm / 12" Tri Blade Heavy Duty.
  23. Yes the amount/types of was on about is just enough to provide a grip but not bonded together
  24. How about this one clean carb out and little bit of TLC and this will cut forever Vintage 50/60s Ransomes Certes 20 inch Honda 4hp Lawn Mower in Essex WWW.EBAY.CO.UK Am near Clacton Essex. Have a look at others listed also. With rusty box.
  25. If shear clean up between blade and hub then something like an oil based paint/(old) Hermatite/Even Polyurethane stuff like Tiger seal/gorilla etc couple of blobs tighten bolt then ok but most mowers don't have pins!
